The event is billed as Kacey Musgraves’ first Montana festival headline performance, as well as Hozier’s Montana festival debut.

The event is presented by Always On, Knitting Factory and Shore Sound Entertainment, in partnership with Destination Missoula and the University of Montana’s entertainment management program.

A limited local presale begins Thursday, Nov. 21, with general onsale Friday. Two-day passes start at $250.

Along with the top-notch talent lineup on two music stages, the event promises to integrate Missoula’s vibrant culinary and craft brewery scene, with half-day and full-day excursions available making use of the nearby wilderness just minutes from downtown. Excursion packages will be available upon onsale, along with lodging, RV and camping options.

Credited with the idea to bring a major music festival to Missoula is credited to Always On founder Scott Osburn. a University of Montana alum also known for developing the Lights All Night New Year’s Eve festival in Texas. Osburn’s partners in Zootown include industry veterans Jordan Wolowitz of Shore Sound, co-founder of Governors Ball and Sound on Sound music festivals, with boots on the ground support coming from Knitting Factory Presents with more than 20 years of experience of producing and promoting concerts in Missoula and the mountain region.

“I believe there are only a few truly iconic destinations in the U.S. ideal for hosting a festival of this caliber,” shares Scott Osburn, “and to me, Missoula sits at the top of that list. Our goal is for the local and regional community to feel a deep sense of pride and ownership in this event, while giving visitors the chance to discover the unique spirit of Missoula, MT. We’re thrilled about this opportunity and recognize the significant responsibility to create a festival that matches the ethos and awe-inspiring quality of its setting.”
