Pollstar & VenuesNow’s Impact International Honorees Celebrated In London
Pollstar and VenuesNow invited some of Europe’s finest live entertainment professionals to London, Nov. 26, to celebrate this year’s selection of Impact International: UK/Euro honorees.
Once again, the legendary Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club hosted this intimate gathering of event pros, and once again the guest list was made up of veterans of the game as well as rising stars in the agency, management and promotion world.
The big difference compared to years prior: the 2024 Impact International reception took place in the newly refurbished main room of the legendary club. It allowed guests to spread out a bit more, especially during dinner, and take a seat surrounded by pictures of the greatest jazz performers in history – including the club’s founder Ronnie Scott.
Pollstar and VenuesNow International Sales Director Brij Gosai kicked off proceedings, welcoming the 100-plus guests, including this year’s honorees, and thanking the sponsors without whom this event couldn’t have been realized, including presenting partner Ticketmaster, and proud sponsors CAA, Pieter Smit, Wasserman Music, D-Live, One Fiinix Live, Semmel Concerts, L’Acoustics, SOS Global, Air Partner, Solo Agency, d&b Audiotechnik, TAG UK, Doctor Music, Paris La Defense Arena, PRS for Music, Tysers Live, Hallenstadion Zurich, and ATC Live.
Kristina Heney, executive vice president of Marketing, Media & Conferences at Oak View Group (Pollstar and VenuesNow‘s parent company), took the stage next to talk about OVG’s international ambitions, its love for the European market, and encourage guests to consider reporting their data into the Pollstar database – the beating heart of everything the publication does.
It was then time to induct this year’s Impact International honorees, which was done by Pollstar and VenuesNow European Editor Gideon Gottfried. The honorees all received a Pollstar or VenuesNow special edition with them on the cover, and the ceremony concluded with a fireside chat between Gottfried and 2024 cover honoree Charly Beedell-Tuck, agent and head of Solo Agency.
Thanks to the bigger room, it was easy to move around and have conversations while enjoying the open bar, which offered Ronnie Scott’s famous cocktails.
It was the perfect setting to honor those in this business that have achieved great things in challenging times. Head over to Pollstar’s and VenuesNow‘s official 2024 Impact International Hub to see all of this year’s nominees.
