Take A Meeting: Chat With Kirk Sommer Raising Money For MusiCares

Grabbing a meeting with WME Senior Partner and Global Co-Head of Music Kirk Sommer is no small feat, but those with a generous heart (and a spare 10 grand or so) might be in with a shout.

Sommer is auctioning a meeting with himself on Charitybuzz to raise money for MusiCares, the non-profit established by The Recording Academy to support musicians and others in the music industry.

The meeting would no doubt be a good get. Since starting in WME’s mailroom in 2000 he’s worked with a deep and impressive roster that cuts across generations and genres: Adele, Arctic Monkeys, Benson Boone, Billie Eilish, Foster the People, Hozier, Lewis Capaldi, Morrissey, Nine Inch Nails, Neil Diamond, Pet Shop Boys, Sam Smith, Steve Aoki, Teddy Swims, The Killers, Weezer, and the late Amy Winehouse.

As of 9:30 Pacific Wednesday, bidding was at $10,500. The auction closes at noon Dec. 4.
