Alison Krauss & Union Station To Tour For First Time Since 2015

Modern bluegrass icons Alison Krauss & Union Station will tour for the first time in a decade next year.

The band — Krauss, Ron Block, Barry Bales and Jerry Douglas — will welcome new member Russell Moore, the long-time frontman for IIIrd Tyme Out and the most awarded male vocalist in International Bluegrass Music Association history.

The massive, 73-date tour begins with a double April 17 and 18 at Louisville’s The Louisville Palace and includes stops at iconic venues including Red Rocks Amphitheatre, New York’s Beacon Theatre, The Chicago Theatre and The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles. The loop wraps Sept. 28 at Hard Rock Live in Hollywood, Florida.

Presales begin Dec. 4 at 10 a.m. local with general onsale Dec. 6 at 10 a.m. local.

Alison Krauss & Union Station last toured with Willie Nelson in 2015. That run included a 6,933-ticket sell-out at The Greek Theatre in Berkeley, California, grossing $437,795, according to Pollstar Boxoffice reports.
