Jamie xx, John Summit, Four Tet, Khruangbin, Subtronics & More Set For Lightning In A Bottle

Lightning in a Bottle is prepared to return to Buena Vista Lake in Kern County, California, from May 21 to 25, and unveiled this year’s lineup including performances from Jamie xx, John Summit, Four Tet, Khruangbin, Channel Tres, Bonobo, The Blessed Madonna and more.

Presented by Do LaB, the festival often features top-tier talents in the electronic scene, with this year’s festival bouncing between tech house with John Summit to psychedelic funk with Khruangbin to heavy bass music with Subtronics, and everything in-between.

The festival takes place the month after Coachella, where Do LaB also host their own stage year after year. Speaking to Pollstar last year, festival founders and brothers, Josh and Jesse Flemming said they turn around from Coachella to begin setting up Lightning in a Bottle with just five days.

“It’s a lot of long days and long nights,” Jesse Flemming said. “We’re trying to finish this project here. We leave to go build on site in 10 days. We’ll be at Coachella for a month, and we have five days off between Coachella and when we start building LiB. From March until mid-June, we’re in it every year. That’s our cycle. After that, things slow down and you can recuperate.”
