Live Nation Acquires Majority Stake In Timeline, An Influencer Management Company
Live Nation bolstered its management division on Dec. 3 by acquiring Timeline, a management firm based in Los Angeles specializing in young Hollywood and influencer talent. It’s a major move for the big promoter, which had previously not ventured with a talent management company focused on creators and influencers.
Working with Live Nation, Timeline now has more resources for its clients, offering additional brand development, touring opportunities and talent tour production services on top of a comprehensive platform for management. Veteran manager Larry Rudolph, who worked with pop stars like Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake and Avril Lavigne, will serve as a strategic partner to Timeline and assist in the integration of talent and touring.
Alexis Fisher, founder and CEO of Timeline, said the partnership is a “defining moment” for her company and “the broader creator economy.” Her company represents 25 clients who work in all areas of entertainment, including Anastasia Karanikolaou, Madeleine White, Jamie Lynn Spears, Chantel Jeffries, The Mian Twins, Carter Gregory and Victoria Villarroel.
“By leveraging Live Nation’s unrivaled resources alongside our deep expertise in talent management, we are creating a robust platform that empowers creators and talent to thrive across all facets of their careers, including management, branding, and touring,” she said in a statement. “This collaboration not only underscores our dedication to supporting and representing elite talent within the Timeline Management ecosystem but also drives innovation through the introduction of services such as tour production and brand consulting. Together, we are equipping talent with the essential tools to excel in the ever-evolving entertainment industry.”
With Timeline under the Live Nation umbrella, the promoter now has access to the nearly 200 million followers on social media Timeline’s clients have amassed, adding another marketing tool for the live entertainment company’s tours. Live Nation is no stranger to managing talent having established its management arm Artist Nation with hundreds of artists on their roster.
“Alexis has been at the forefront of influencer talent management,” Live Nation Chief Strategy Officer Matthew Hansen said. “The collaboration with Timeline will enable Live Nation to further expand into this emerging field, and we see Alexis’ integrated approach of combining influencer management, branding and touring as the next logical step for growth in the creator economy.”
