Susan Rosenbluth, a longtime Southern California concert promoter and current Senior Vice President of Goldenvoice, is retiring from the music industry, the company announced today (Dec. 4).

The legendary concert promoter’s career spans six decades, starting in 1978 at the renowned Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, and working with such artists as Elton John, Talking Heads, BTS, Keith Urban, BLACKPINK, ATEEZ, and Van Morrison.

“My work life has been filled with so many meaningful experiences, due to the Goldenvoice concert promotion team, artists and their crews who come together to present these events,” Rosenbluth said in the announcement, “I am grateful to the people of the concert community.”

Paul Tollett, President of Goldenvoice, added: “Susan is a legend…that goes without saying.  But she also charted a new course for Goldenvoice musically and made us better for it.  We wish her only the best in this next chapter of her life.  She will be missed by all of us.”

Rosenbluth spent her first three years at the Greek Theatre learning about facility management before being named its general manager at the age of 24 in 1982. Over the next 13 years she managed concert presentations at the Greek Theatre, Pantages Theatre, Pacific Amphitheatre in Costa Mesa, California, and the Honda Center in Anaheim, California, for the Nederlander Organization.

During the next eight years, she became proficient at booking concerts of all genres, including those featuring Asian, Persian and Latin performers.

Rosenbluth moved to Goldenvoice as its SVP and General Manager in 2003, buying talent for concerts throughout California, Alaska, Hawaii, and Arizona, including programming at Staples Center, Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California, and, starting in 2006, the Microsoft Theater at L.A. Live.

She formed the Latin concert promotion division of Goldenvoice/AEG Presents in 2005. A few of the artists whose concerts she has promoted include George Lopez, Dave Matthews Band, the Eurythmics, Cher, Bette Midler, Santana, Van Morrison, Prince, Mana’, Ivan Cornejo, Daddy Yankee, Snoop Dogg, Taylor Swift, Keith Urban, Guns ‘n Roses, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, Backstreet Boys, James Taylor and Paul McCartney.

Rosenbluth promoted her first K-pop artists’ concerts in 2010 and, with C.S. Hah, has promoted multiple North American tours of various K-pop artists since that time, including BLACKPINK, BTS and Monsta X.

She is co-chair of the Women’s Leadership Council at AEG. Her awards include Pollstar Talent Buyer of the Year 2007, W.I.S.E.
