Lance Zanett has been named the new general manager of the Colorado Convention Center in Denver, ASM Global announced. The appointment was a collaborative decision between the City and County of Denver’s Arts and Venues Department and Visit Denver.

“Lance’s exceptional leadership and deep understanding of Colorado Convention Center’s operations make him the ideal choice to lead this iconic venue into the future,” ASM Global executive vice president of convention centers, Dan Hoffend, said in a statement. “His extensive knowledge of both the facility and its operations will be crucial as we continue to offer world-class experiences and drive innovation.”

Zanett will work with the destination and stakeholders to keep the Colorado Convention Center a premier destination for events. The venue recently underwent a $233 million expansion with a new 80,000-square-foot rooftop ballroom and a 20,000-square-foot outdoor rooftop terrace. The venue is expected to generate $85 million in economic impact for the local community.

“Lance’s longstanding commitment to Colorado Convention Center will be instrumental in further elevating Denver’s reputation as a world-class meeting and event destination,” said Gretchen Hollrah, DAV director.

Prior to his new appointment, Zanett served as the assistant general manager at the Colorado Convention Center for 19 years starting in January 2006.

“I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to serve as general manager of Colorado Convention Center,” Zanett said in a statement. “This facility is more than just a venue – it’s a hub for connection, innovation and community. I look forward to collaborating with our incredible team and partners to continue delivering exceptional experiences and shaping the future of Denver’s convention industry.”
