System Of A Down Adds Second Night To Each Show Of Stadium Tour
After System Of A Down initially announced their three stadium dates with special guests Korn, Avenged Sevenfold and Deftones earlier this week, the band has added three more shows. Now, the hard rock act will perform two nights at MetLife Stadium, Soldier Field and Rogers Stadium.
Polyphia and Wisp will open for all shows, with Korn joining the band in East Rutherford, New Jersey, on Aug. 27 and 28, Avenged Sevenfold joining in Chicago on Aug. 31 and Sept. 1 and Deftones joining in Toronto on Sept. 3 and 5.
System Of A Down is booked by WME’s Don Muller in North America and is managed by Velvet Hammer Music and Management Group. The band performed the first solo concert in Golden Gate Park after dark on Aug. 17, the show promoted by Another Planet and taking place in the park’s Polo Fields, where the promoter threw its annual Outside Lands Music Festival the weekend prior. The show sold out with 50,186 fans in attendance, grossing $9.6 million, according to reports submitted to Pollstar’s Boxoffice. Deftones also joined System Of A Down on that date.
