Khruangbin Announce Texas Tour Set For Spring
Khruangbin is set to return to their home state of Texas this spring as the band announces a limited run of shows across the state in April with Helado Negro. The tour kicks off at Grand Prairie, Texas, on April 9 with stops in Houston (April 12) and Austin (April 22 and 23.
The trio, consisting of Laura Lee Ochoa (bass guitar and vocals), Mark Speer (guitar and vocals) and DJ Johnson (drums, keyboards and vocals) hail from Houston and blend soul, dub, rock and psychedelia.
The band is currently up for a Grammy as Best New Artist, and is booked by Arrival Artists’ Ethan Berlin and John Bongiorno. They’re managed by AND Artist Management’s Annie McIntyre.
Among the band’s 153 headline reports submitted to Pollstar’s Boxoffice dating back to 2016, they’ve sold 602,683 tickets grossing a total $33.9 million. Highlights from their recent dates include a sold-out show at The Anthem in Washington, D.C., on Sept. 24, grossing $397,185, and a gross of $291,960 at Fox Theatre in Atlanta on Sept. 27.
Tickets go on sale Dec. 19 at 10 a.m. CT.
