Perhaps quietly, but not so surprisingly to those who have been paying attention, P!NK lands at No. 3 on Pollstar’s year-end Top 200 Worldwide Tours chart. The pop singer first kicked off her “Summer Carnival Tour” on June 7, 2023, at the University of Bolton Stadium in Bolton, England. In the end, P!NK performed a total of 97 shows between her three tours (“Summer Carnival,” “Trustfall” and “P!NK Live 2024”), grossing $704 million, which combined would be one of the highest-grossing tours of all time, according to reports submitted to Pollstar Boxoffice. She wrapped her recent dates on Nov. 18 at the Camping World Stadium in Orlando. While it took some time for P!NK to reach major popularity in North America, she always had a strong foothold in Australia and Europe. She graced the cover of Pollstar in 2023 when she topped the Q3 reporting period with the first three months of her “Summer Carnival Tour.” That success didn’t slow down a single time throughout the 17-month trek. She’s managed by RDWM’s Roger Davies and booked by Marshall Arts’ Barrie Marshall.

“[P!NK’s] definitely up there in a lot of categories across the world,” said Live Nation’s Brad Wavra, who promoted the “Summer Carnival Tour.” “She had big growth in Australia or Europe first, but didn’t really, really connect immediately in [North America]. It’s only been recently that the American audience is connected. But this year we are her biggest market. North America will now be her biggest market. But it took this long to get here.”

Perhaps some of the artist’s success in Australia could be lent to her manager, as Davies is a native of the country and knows the market well. When he and P!NK first began working together, he emphasized the importance of having popularity across the globe.
“You’ve got to become a worldwide artist because there’s a whole world out there,” Davies recalled telling P!NK when he spoke with Pollstar last year. “Be big in America. You should be big in Japan; you can be big in Australia.”

Women have been at the center of pop culture and commanded the charts in 2024. This year’s highest-grossing tour is once again Taylor Swift for her “Eras Tour,” and women dominated the Album of the Year category at this year’s Grammys. P!NK is well aware of the moment women in the industry are having when she spoke with Pollstar last year, sharing, “It feels like women are dominating in a way that maybe I haven’t been around for.” Pop music continues to be the highest-grossing genre, and the majority of today’s major stars in the genre are women. P!NK’s own fans tend to be female, but she says she spots men in the audience, too.

She also acknowledged how the media and fans oftentimes try to pit women against one another, vying for the top slot. When P!NK’s tour first began, both Taylor Swift and Beyoncé were out on the road with major tours. However, P!NK emphasized she never felt threatened by her peers’ successes.

“I get the competition question a bunch, and I don’t think any one of us women feels that way, because I think all of us have been around long enough to realize that we can all win at the same time,” P!NK said. “And it feels pretty good to be among this group of women. And how could a person that sells 2 million tickets ever complain about anything?”

However, P!NK appearing near the top of Pollstar’s charts is nothing new. She topped the chart in 2019 with more than 1.81 million tickets sold, grossing $215.2 million. This year, she grossed $367.3 million with 2.73 million tickets sold, blowing her previous record out of the water. Highlights from P!NK’s year include a sold-out date at Foxborough, Massachusetts’ Gillette Stadium on Aug. 21, with 58,925 tickets which grossed a total of $11 million, and other stadium sell-outs including Chicago’s Soldier Field on Aug. 24, with 55,227 tickets grossing $9.9 million and Edmonton, Alberta’s Commonwealth Stadium on Aug. 31, with 58,616 tickets grossing $9.7 million.
