The 67th Grammy Awards will be broadcast on CBS and Paramount+ beginning at 5 p.m. PT, and during the telecast, the Recording Academy will emphasize the importance of raising funds to support L.A. wildfire relief efforts and honor the dedication of first responders.
According to a release from the Academy, since last week’s launch of the Los Angeles Fire Relief Effort to Support Music Professionals, the organization and MusiCares “have pledged more than $3.2 million in emergency aid to assist music professionals affected by the fires.”
“The upcoming GRAMMY Awards won’t just be about celebrating and honoring the best in music this year, it will also show how the power of music can help rebuild, uplift and support those in need,” Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason Jr. said in a statement. “We are thrilled that so many artists in our community are banding together at this time to show support for their fellow music makers and others impacted by the recent wildfires.”
