Wasserman Music Announces 5 New Exec Hires

Wasserman Music continues its expansion as the agency announces five new executive hires, including Vince Amoroso (SVP, Artist Services), Sharmaine Akhigbe (VP, Brand Partnerships), Karina Gonzalez (VP, Festivals), Georgia McGurk (VP, Event Strategy & Hospitality) and Yasi Agahnia (Director, Corporate & Special Events).
The expansion follows the news earlier this month that Kevin Shivers, James Rubin and Cristina Baxter joined Wasserman Music’s executive leadership team after leaving WME.
The company is also enhancing its global client services, including the expansion of cross-functional Artist Services division to help drive non-touring revenue and visibility opportunities, enhanced U.K.-based brand partnerships, dedicated talent booking for U.S.-based Latin music festivals and contemporary festivals across Latin America, VIP Event & Hospitality Strategy services for clients and partners and dedicated corporate and special event booking for electronic, hip-hop and R&B artists.
“As our clients’ needs continually expand along with our ever-evolving industry, we’ve continued to stay ahead of these changes so that we’re always able to provide best-in-class services to our artists and partners,” Wasserman Music President, Lee Anderson, said in a statement. “We are thrilled to add Vince, Sharmaine, Karina, Georgia and Yasi to our global teams as five highly experienced professionals with proven track records who are a perfect complement to our company culture.”

Her previous roles include IMG/Endeavor and BSE Global.

She previously served as an Agent at UTA focusing on the Latin market. Agahnia also joins in Los Angeles, where she will focus on private events bookings across electronic, hip-hop and R&B. She previously worked at CAA, working her way up through the mailroom to become an agent in its Private & Corporate Events division.
