AC/DC have announced European dates for this summer, following a North American trek in April and May. The new dates include a July 8 stop at the Düsseldorf Open Air Park, which, according to the venue’s operator D.Live marks “the beginning of a completely new era for open-air events in Düsseldorf and Germany.”

The Open Air Park Düsseldorf has a maximum capacity of 80,000 guests, and lies next to other major event venues like the Düsseldorf fairgrounds, and Merkur Spiel-Arena, which is also operated by D.Live. “The new venue will finally fill a geographical gap for ‘super shows’ and festivals,” D.Live CEO Michael Brill told Pollstar, when speaking for our annual Germany Focus in September 2024.

Düsseldorf’s mayor, Dr. Stephan Keller, commented, “The opening of the Open Air Park is a significant step for Düsseldorf as an event city. (It) will be an important location for major international artists and will strengthen our position as a leading event metropolis.”

AC/DC will be the first. Local promoter Berni Lewkowicz, owner of concert team nrw, commented, “as a Düsseldorf promoter, we are particularly pleased to be the first to play the new open-air venue. The Open Air Park Düsseldorf is a significant enrichment for the live industry, both locally and country-wide.”

AC/DC European summer dates also include stops in Spain, France, Scotland, as well as the Nordics. Full intnerary, including the North American dates in spring below.

Power Up is also the name of AC/DC’s 2020 album, which went straight to number one in 21 countries.
