Award-Winning Mexican Singer Natalia Lafourcade Embarking On ‘Cancionera Tour’

Acclaimed Mexican singer Natalia Lafourcade announced she will be hitting the road for her “Cancionera Tour,” her most ambitious North American trek in seven years.

The artist is embarking on a 17-date tour, with most of the shows promoted by Live Nation, with intimate shows at theaters and concert halls, and the run includes a performance at Montreal Jazz Fest in Quebec, Canada.

Fans can expect her new shows to feature intimate arrangements of her classic hits as well as new songs.

“I’ve been dreaming for a while of returning to the stage in a different way, perhaps more intimate or closer to my audience,” Lafourcade said in a statement. “My wish is to share the intimacy I experience with my songs in my room. In my home, in my personal universe, or in my own imagination.”

The “Cancionera Tour” kicks off on May 30 at Morgan and Bill Winspear Opera House in Dallas and includes stops at Moody Center’s ACL Live in Austin, Paramount Theatre in Denver, The Chicago Theatre in Illinois, Las Vegas’ Smith Center, Kennedy Center Concert Hall in Washington, D.C. and Atlanta’s Tabernacle before wrapping up at Miami’s Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts on Oct. 25.

The Citi presale begins Feb. 4 and additional presales will run throughout the week leading up to the general onsale, which starts Feb. 7 at 10 a.m. local time. Citi cardmembers can visit citientertainment.com for information about the presale, and all other fans can visit ticketmaster.com for tickets.

Lafourcade is coming off a successful 2024, which included the release of Live At Carnegie Hall, featuring a star-studded set with David Byrne, Jorge Drexler and Omara Portuondo.

She also won a Latin Grammy for “Best Pop/Rock Song” last November for “Cinco Horas Menos,” a collaboration with Conociendo Rusia. The singer hailing from Mexico City is one of the most successful female artists in Latin music with four Grammy wins to go with her 18 Latin Grammy statues.

Lafourcade is booked by United Talent Agency worldwide except for South America and managed by Juan Pablo López-Fonseca. She had a successful two nights at San Jose Civic in Northern California on Dec. 8, 2023, grossing a total of $532,423 off 5,402 tickets sold across both shows, according to Pollstar Boxoffice.
