Doobies And Reefers Unite: The Doobie Brothers Announce “Walk This Road” North American Tour With Special Guests The Coral Reefer Band

After five decades, The Doobie Brothers are still takin’ it to the streets with “Walk This Road Tour.” Produced by Live Nation, the tour kicks off in Detroit and includes shows in New York, Boston, Chicago and Toronto, with more dates to be announced.

The reunited Doobie Brothers’ lineup includes Patrick Simmons, Tom Johnston, John McFee and Michael McDonald. The summer tour is in support of their first new album in 40 years, Walk This Road available June 6 on Rhino Records. Joining The Doobie Brothers on the “Walk This Road Tour” will be special guests The Coral Reefer Band.

“We’re so looking forward to the 2025 Summer tour,” said Simmons on behalf of The Doobie Brothers in a statement. “We’ll be celebrating the release of our new album Walk This Road and we’re excited to be performing new songs from the record. Having The Coral Reefer Band on board with us at these shows really makes this a special experience for the audience and all of us. Doobies and Reefers, hmm… sounds like a perfect match.”

Beloved by generations for their roots-based harmonies over searing rock guitar, The Doobie Brothers were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2020. The group has sold more than 48 million albums and won four Grammy awards. In 2021, the band kicked off their 50th anniversary tour, which reunited Johnston, McDonald, Simmons and McFee for 49 stops before concluding in 2022.

The Coral Reefer Band is the touring and recording band of singer/songwriter Jimmy Buffett. The band in various configurations performed around the world with Buffett from 1973 until his passing in 2023 and continues celebrating and performing his music at his request.

When Buffett passed, he left an edict to “keep the party going” and that’s what his band continues to do. The Coral Reefer Band is led by 10-time CMA Musician of the Year Mac McAnally who said: “We are blessed with the task of honoring and continuing the musical legacy that Jimmy built over five-plus decades. We are so lucky both to have shared the stage with him and to share his music with all who love it.”

The “Walk This Road” summer tour pre-sales start Tuesday, Feb. 11 at 10:00 AM local time with general on sale to the public Friday, Feb. 14 at 10:00 AM local time. VIP packages for all dates will be available starting Feb. 11.
