Germany: Lutz Grotehöfer Joins DEAG As Executive Vice President Operations

Lutz Grotehöfer returns to DEAG (Deutsche Entertainment AG) as executive vice president operations. In his new role, he will work closely with Detlef Kornett, chairman of the executive board, group CEO, international business affairs, and Christian Diekmann, member of the executive board, CEO national, COO. “In addition to operational and structural issues of the company, he will address strategic issues in the face of a dynamically changing and growing DEAG and live entertainment industry,” according to the press release announcing Grotehöfer’s appointment.

By 2021, Lutz Grotehöfer had already held various positions and areas of responsibility for different companies within the DEAG Group for 14 years. He started at Hamburg promoter River Concerts GmbH in 2007, spent some time in London with Raymond Gubbay Ltd. and joined Manfred Hertlein Veranstaltungs GmbH in Würzburg. He then worked at DEAG Holding as assistant to the executive board, and most recently served as managing director of Concert Concept Veranstaltungs-GmbH Berlin.

After successfully completing his diploma in business administration at the University of Hamburg in 2013, he temporarily interrupted his steadily rising career in the DEAG Group to obtain a Master of Science in Economics at the Free University of Berlin. Parallel to his Master’s degree, he worked as a research assistant at the Chair of International Public Economics.

Lutz Grotehöfer on his return to DEAG: “I am delighted to be back on board at DEAG after this valuable academic excursion!
