Following a 35-date tour in 2024, Sturgill Simpson, aka “Johnny Blue Skies,” has announced a tour kicking off in the spring that will see him play 23 shows across the U.S. April 5 to May 24.

Along with the blunt tour title, the ad-mat gets right to the point: “NO OPENERS, IF YOU’RE ON TIME, YOU’RE LATE.”

An exclusve artist presale starts next Wednesday, Feb. 19, with “a limited number of tickets” available for the general onsale Friday, Feb. 21 “while quantities last.”

Fans who purchase tickets on Ticketmaster and end up unable to attend will have the option to resell their tickets at the original price paid using Face Value Exchange, according to the announcement. Tickets will be mobile-only and restricted from transfer, except in states prevented by state law.

Like Simpson’s 2024 “Why Not? Tour,” the official audio from the “Who The F**k Is Johnny Blue Skies? 2025 Tour” will be available on nugs.net for streaming or purchase.

The 2025 U.S. dates follow an extensive run of shows across Europe and UK Feb. 23 to March 22, with stops including Belfast, Dublin, London, Hamburg, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Oslo, Berlin, Brussels, and Paris.

The new tour, which includes multiple types of venues from theater, amphitheater to arena, adds to previously announced festival dates for Simpson, which include the recently announced headline slot at FairWell Festival in Oregon in July and top-line billing at Bourbon & Beyond festival in Louisville, Kentucky in September.

The tour is produced by AEG Presents. Simpson is represented by Wasserman Music and TMWRK Management.
