AEG Promotes Andrew Klein To President Of Global Partnerships

Major live entertainment promoter AEG Presents announced the promotion of Andrew Klein to president of global partnerships, a role that will have the executive oversee all sales and activation business for the company’s global partnerships division.

Klein previously served as senior vice president of global partnerships. In his new role, he will report to Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Shawn Trell and will continue to be based in New York.

“The opportunities in our company have never been more exciting or abundant for driving meaningful results for our partners,” Klein said in a statement. “I look forward to continuing to develop and implement innovative programs that amplify our world-class brand partners and industry-leading music assets.

With two decades of experience working for AEG Presents, Klein has been involved in sponsorship sales across the promoter’s tours, venues and festivals, including Stagecoach Festival, New Orleans Jazz Fest & Heritage Festival and Camp Flog Gnaw. He was credited with developing H&M’s global licensing deal with Coachella and many more partnerships, building up his reputation as a leader in “merging brands with bands.”

Most recently, Klein played a major role in striking livestream deals for Coachella (with YouTube) and Stagecoach (with Amazon).

“Andrew has spent years cultivating relationships and identifying brands and partners to bring critical value and expanded reach across our entire portfolio,” Trell said. “I’m happy to see him elevated to this new position — it’s well deserved — and I’m looking forward to what’s ahead.”

Before working at AEG Presents, Klein previously served as president of the company Entertainment Marketing Communications International and oversaw the sponsorship program for Lilith Fair and worked on deals with Tower Records, Volkswagen, Levi’s, Chevrolet and others. He also played a major part in the partnerships between Sheryl Crow and Tommy Hilfiger and The Rolling Stones and Spring.
