Afterlife Festival Lands In Mexico City & Barcelona

Anyma (who recently made headlines with the first-ever dance music Sphere residency) and Mrak are bringing their Afterlife brand to Mexico City and Barcelona for a two day festival in May and June. The Mexico City dates take place May 9 and 10 at Hipódromo de las Americas, with the first day of the festival curated by Anyma and the second by Mrak. The brand will then head to Barcelona’s Circuit de Barcelona Catalunya on Jun 13 and 14, which Anyma and Mrak curating each day of the festival once again.

Each festival will be its own exclusive edition featuring two stages.

Anyma is booked by CAA’s Ferry Rais-Shaghaghi. Thus far, he has performed eight shows of his Sphere residency, which is set to continue in February and March. The dates have sold a total 138,632 tickets grossing $21 million since the residency first began on Dec. 27. He performed the first New Year’s Eve show at the venue, the date selling 17,372 tickets grossing $2.7 million, according to reports submitted to Pollstar’s Boxoffice.

General onsale begins Feb. 27.
