Austria’s Barracuda Music & Romania’s Events Announce Joint Venture

Leading Austrian concert and festival promoter Barracuda Music has partnered with Events, one of Romania’s most established promoters, to launch Barracuda & Events, “a joint venture set to redefine the Romanian and Bulgarian live entertainment landscape,” according to today’s announcement.

Since its founding in 2000, Events has played a pivotal role in bringing international productions to Romania, hosting legendary acts such as The Rolling Stones, Cirque du Soleil, Aerosmith, Linkin Park, Leonard Cohen, The Cranberries, Billy Idol and many more, as well as being the long-time promoter of Iris, one of Romania’s best-selling rock bands.

Founded in 2004, Barracuda Music has built a reputation for promoting large-scale, high-quality concerts, and festivals across Austria. The company has worked with The Rolling Stones, Ed Sheeran, Iron Maiden, Robbie Williams, One Republic, Jamiroquai, Green Day, Imagine Dragons, among many others.

As part of the Eventim Live network, Barracuda Music has successfully expanded into Central and Eastern European markets, selling more than 200,000 tickets in the CEE region alone in 2024, by its own admission.

With this strategic alliance, Barracuda & Events aims to elevate Romania’s live entertainment industry by leveraging Events’ deep local expertise and Barracuda Music’s international reach and operational excellence.
