Nashville Duo The Weird Sisters Signs With Independent Artist Group, Announce U.S. Tour

Independent Artist Group landed one of music’s rising stars. The talent agency signed The Weird Sisters, a duo that has made waves in the Nashville live music scene, for worldwide representation following a successful year for the band.
In addition to the signing, The Weird Sisters, which comprises Izaac Short and Gabrielle Lewis, IAG and 1 Degree Music announced the first leg of a tour with shows in clubs and theaters across the U.S. 1 Degree Music Entertainment’s Scott McGhee and Patrick Clifford handled booking and management for the duo and helped The Weird Sisters navigate the next phase of their career.
“The Weird Sisters are breaking the mold of what it means to engage with fans,” Peter Pappalardo, IAG’s head of global touring, said in a statement. “Their ability to connect with people on such a deep level is rare. We’re thrilled to be a part of their journey and can’t wait to help them bring their vision to the world stage.” Pappalardo and Philip Barrett will represent the band at IAG.
The Weird Sisters, a duo known as “Nashville’s greatest local band” by blending genres like electronic dance and indie rock, will kick off their run at Chicago’s Cobra Lounge on April 3. The routing for the first leg includes stops at Columbus, Ohio’s Rumba Café, The Cellar at Pittsburgh Winery, New York’s Mercury Lounge, Purgatory at The Masquerade in Atlanta and Nashville’s The Basement East.
Since forming in 2019, The Weird Sisters have risen in the dynamic Nashville scene with a unique sound that the duo proclaims as “space disco” and by putting on unforgettable sold-out shows in iconic venues like The Vinyl Lounge and Eastside Bowl. Joe King, co-founder of the Grammy-nominated band The Fray, was one of many who was impressed by The Weird Sisters’ live performance.
“If you want four orgasms in one night, listen to The Weird Sisters,” he said. “If you want to experience GN-z11 (one of the farthest galaxies from Earth), listen to The Weird Sisters. If you want both, go to their show.”
The Weird Sisters’ talent and standout performances caught the attention of major agencies and sparked a signing race, and IAG emerged as the right partner to help the duo grow as artists and in the live music industry.
“Signing with IAG feels like the perfect next step for us,” Short and Lewis of The Weird Sisters said in a statement. “Their energy and commitment to what we do are unmatched. We’re ready to share our music with the world on a bigger scale than ever before.”
