Sound Talent Group Names Sarah Pederson To Senior Management Team

Sarah Pederson has joined Sound Talent Group’s senior management team and will be continuing her role at the independent agency with the new title of Director of Finance. The announcement was made Feb. 21 by STG partners Matt Andersen, Tim Borror and Dave Shapiro.

Pederson, who joined Sound Talent Group in 2020 as Controller, is responsible for all aspects of accounting and finance at STG. She got her start in the music industry as Founder and President of Family Tree Presents in Anchorage, where she ran promotions for the band 36 Crazyfists. During that time she worked with many of STG’s agents to bring their bands to Alaska.

“Five years ago, I moved to California from Alaska to work at Sound Talent Group for my dream job and it has more than lived up to my own hype. Sound Talent Group is a wonderful company to work for because our employees and clients are second to none. I am proud to be a part of the management team that will guide STG into the future and set us up for continued growth and success,” Pederson said in a statement.

Shapiro added, “Sarah and I met very early on in both our careers, and we always stayed in touch, especially when I started spending more time in Alaska. To my surprise, when I asked Sarah if she’d want to move to Southern California, she instantly jumped at the opportunity. We haven’t looked back since. She has been an integral part of our growth over the last 5 years and we look forward to many more years to come!”

Sound Talent Group launched in 2018 and has grown to include more than three dozen employees with offices in New York City, Nashville, and San Diego. The agency’s roster features over 400 artists including Pierce The Veil, Lamb of God, I Prevail, Sum 41, Hanson, Vanessa Carlton, Beartooth, Steve Vai, Movements, Clutch, Citizen Cope, Ice Nine Kills, The Front Bottoms, Killswitch Engage, Motionless In White, Story of The Year, Alexandra Kay, In This Moment, Destroy Boys, Parkway Drive, Struggle Jennings, Black Label Society and Citizen.
