Darius Rucker Rolls Across Canada

Three-time Grammy Award winner and multi-genre hitmaker Darius Rucker is set to bring his signature sound to Canada in October with his “Darius Rucker Live” tour. Produced by Live Nation, the eight-city trek kicks off on Oct. 15, at Abbotsford Centre in Abbotsford, BC, making stops across Canada in cities including Edmonton, Toronto, and Ottawa before wrapping up on Oct. 26, at Canadian Tire Centre in Ottawa, ON.
 
Tickets will be available during the general on-sale beginning March 7 at 10:00 AM local time. A variety of VIP packages are also available. Clarence Spalding and Chris Parr at Maverick are Rucker’s management team. His agent is Darin Murphy at CAA.

The tour announcement coincides with the continued success of his latest album Carolyn’s Boy, featuring Rucker’s No. 1 single “Beers and Sunshine” and “Ol’ Church Hymn” (featuring Chapel Hart). Rucker first achieved multi-Platinum status as lead singer and rhythm guitarist of Hootie & the Blowfish, who have sold more than 25 million albums worldwide including their double Diamond-certified (22x Platinum) debut Cracked Rear View. Since releasing his first country album in 2008, Rucker has earned a whole new legion of fans with 10 No. 1 singles including his Diamond-certified (11X Platinum) version of “Wagon Wheel,” one of the top five best-selling country songs of all time.
