Death Cab For Cutie Adds 6 Western Dates Ahead Of ‘Plans’ Tour

Ahead of an already announced July and August run celebrating the 20th anniversary of the band’s seminal album Plans, Death Cab For Cutie has added six shows in smaller venues across the western U.S. in late July.
The band will play Sacramento, California; Reno, Nevada; Redding, California; Portland, Oregon; Bonner, Montana; and Spokane, Washington, in the last week of July before the first “Plans” show in Seattle July 31, the first half of a double at Climate Pledge Arena.
Death Cab will be supported by Mary Lattimore for the first three shows and Sea Lemon for the last two. The Portland play is part of the Project Pabst series and is on sale, as is the Sacramento date. Presale signups for the other four shows are available at Death Cab’s website.
DCFC spent the spring and summer on tour with lead singer Ben Gibbard’s other major project The Postal Service. The tour included a 12,230-ticket sellout at Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena May 4, grossing $736,851 for an average ticket price of $60.25, according to Pollstar Boxoffice reports.
Death Cab is repped in North America by Wasserman Music’s Trey Many.
