LA Phil is showing the love with “We Love LA” a free concert April 1 at the Hollywood Bowl to honor and support first responders and communities recovering from the January wildfires.

Music and Artistic Director Gustavo Dudamel will lead the Los Angeles Philharmonic and special guests in a program featuring the music of LA Phil collaborators John Williams and Gabriela Ortiz alongside selections from Mahler, Gershwin and the popular canon.

The LA Phil is working with community organizations and partners to distribute tickets to “We Love LA” to first responders and members of affected communities. The April 1 program will be broadcast live on Classical California KUSC in L.A. on 91.5 and on KDFC in San Francisco and streaming on their websites. Classical California is the country’s largest listener-supported public media organization for classical music reaching 1.4 million monthly listeners worldwide. The event is supported by American Express, Kaiser Permanente, Terri and Jerry Kohl, Anne Akiko Meyers and Jason Subotkey, and Gregory Annenberg Weingarten.
