Jacqueline Reynolds-Drumm is well-known in the industry as a champion for urban artists, including Quavo; Lil Yachty; Madison Beer; City Girls; Metro Boomin; Baby Tate; Duckwrth; Alexander Stewart; Q, Baby Rose; and Coco & Clair Clair.
In addition, she is excited about signing young female talent at CAA, such as Hailey Knox and Chxrry22.
“We can continue nurturing young women artists by creating safe spaces where they feel empowered to express themselves and share their art,” Reynolds-Drumm said. “This means that we are listening and supporting what their needs might be as well as their ideas.”
She expressed that other CAA power agents Carole Kinzel, Jenna Adler and Marlene Tsuchii have been instrumental in her success and are all in her personal Hall of Fame.
“They show that it is possible to climb the ladder and build a kick-ass roster while maintaining your integrity, being yourself and trusting your instincts,” she says. Reynolds-Drumm touted the CAA Foundation’s support for those impacted by the Los Angeles fires this past year as just one reason she is proud to be a part of the organization.
“Artists, colleagues, music executives, crew and more lost their homes,” she said. “With Los Angeles so dear to our hearts, we came together as a community to support recovery and relief efforts.”
In addition to CAA’s philanthropic efforts, Reynolds-Drumm noted that Lil Yachty’s performance at Coachella in 2024 also made a big impact on her.
“This was eight years in the making, and after making the genre-bending, critically acclaimed album Let’s Start Here, it was the perfect time for him to take on the Coachella stage for the first time ever,” Reynolds-Drumm said. “It was also very special because it was the last show I attended before giving birth to my daughter.”
Her advice to others is that a career is a marathon, not a sprint. “Don’t waste your energy comparing yourself to anyone else,” Reynolds-Drumm said. “Your goals are your North Star, and every step you take should be focused on reaching that goal and following that North Star.”
