2025 Women Of Live: Polina Selinevich
Polina Selinevich
Director Of Event Operations | New Jersey Devils & Prudential Center
HARD AND SOFT TICKETS | Big Billie Eilish fan.
RECORD BREAKING GROSS | UFC 302 at Pru Center.

A relative up-and-comer in an industry that can take decades to become established in, Polina Selinevich credits many mentors along the way, but admits her experience opened her eyes to something lacking.
“Throughout my career, I have been lucky to have strong mentors, yet they have mostly been male. With that being said, I have learned a great deal from working with them about myself (personally and professionally), and have received honest and thoughtful advice from them about my career path and future goals,” says Selinevich, who joined Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, in 2022.
“However, one thing that has been lacking across the events industry is the female presence in leadership positions. While we have made great headway towards gender parity in the events industry, I also know much more can be done.”
Getting her start at Alerus Center in Grand Forks, North Dakota, Selinevich saw her role grow from event manager to director of events in just four years before joining the home of the New Jersey Devils, a major arena in the country’s biggest market. She’s learned from some of the most respected in the business, crediting former IAVM chair and arena veteran Kim Bedier as an inspiration and knowing the power of networking in a business that’s all about relationships.
“While having a strong resume is certainly valuable, long-term success in this industry is often built on the relationships you form,” she said. “In working live events, you often interact with the same clients, promoters and vendors, so relationships are key and can have a lasting impact.”
She intends to steer the events industry toward a more inclusive future.
“As a woman who evolved in my career on par with my male counterparts, I believe I have a platform to act as a resource to other women looking to accomplish the same achievements,” she said. “In recent years, I’ve helped establish a deep network of young female professionals working at venues across the country. While serving as mentor, I’ve also been able to lean on this group of peers for crucial advice and support on everything from day-to-day tasks to managerial decisions, and I hope that we are paving the way for so many after us to connect and reap these same benefits.”
