Live Nation Urban Announces Tour With DD Osama, Sugarhill Ddot, STAR BANDZ

Coming off the lineup announcement of Roots Picnic in Philadelphia, Live Nation Urban dropped news of another venture today that features some of today’s top drill rappers. DD Osama, Sugarhill Ddot and STAR BANDZ will be embarking on the “New Wave Tour 2025,” a 14-date run with stops in major markets across the U.S.

The Live Nation Urban-promoted tour kicks off May 4 at Phoenix’s Crescent Ballroom and includes stops at The Echo in Los Angeles, Houston’s House of Blues Bronze Peacock, The Social in Orlando, Chicago’s Avondale Music Hall, Shelter in Detroit and The Gramercy Theatre in New York before wrapping up May 28 at The Foundry at The Fillmore Philadephia.

Tickets for the “New Wave Tour 2025” will be available via presale starting March 26 at 10 a.m. local time through March 27 at 11:59 p.m. The public onsale begins March 28 at 10 a.m. local time. All tickets are available at NewWaveTour.com.

DD Osama recently released singles “BLRRD BLRRD” and “Pelle” and has amassed hundreds of millions of streams. STAR BANDZ hails from Chicago and is a rising in the drill rap scene following the release of her 2024 single “Yea Yea.” Sugarhill Ddot is a young rapper who has collaborated with STAR BANDZ, and his has garnered more than 105 million streams in the U.S.

In the release announcing the tour, Live Nation Urban said to “stay tuned” for more from them this year.

One of DD Osama’s most successful outings on the road was a sold-out show at Avondale Music Hall on Jan. 13, 2023, which grossed $26,630 off 750 tickets sold, according to Pollstar Boxoffice reports. Sugarhill Ddot supported a few shows from Luh Tyler last year and performed at Rolling Loud. He also opened for DD Osama at The Howard Theatre in Washington, D.C. on Dec. 8, 2023, and that show grossed $19,875 off 994 tickets.
