Gary Clark Jr., Jimmie Vaughan Added To Antone’s All-Star Jams At Austin Blues Fest

Gary Clark Jr. and Texas blues icon Jimmie Vaughan will join together as part of the “Antone’s 50th Allstars” at Austin Blues Fest April 26-27 at Moody Amphitheater at Waterloo Park honoring the storied Texas club.

Celebrating the 50th anniversary of Antone’s, co-owned by  Gary Clark Jr. and known as Austin’s “Home Of The Blues,” Clark and Vaughan will lead a Sunday all-star jam lineup, with Saturday featuring Kam Franklin (of The Suffers) and Ian Moore. Others included in the Antone’s 50th Allstar Jams are Muddy Waters guitarist John Primer, Muddy Waters’ sonm and “A Complete Unknown” co-star Big Bill Morganfield and 2024 Blues Hall Of Fame inductees Lil’ Ed Williams and Lurrie Bell. 

That adds on to already-stacked lineup of performers taking part, including Christone “Kingfish” Ingram, Mavis Staples, North Mississippi Allstars, Jackie Venson, Lee Fields, Jalen Ngonda, Orquesta Akokán and Sue Foley among others.

The Antone’s 50th Allstar Jams continue a year-long celebration, which also includes a special taping at Austin City Limits at Antone’s, with a lineup of Antone’s Allstars forthcoming, that will air during the show’s next season.
