Boxoffice Insider: Usher To Resume ‘Past Present Future’ Trek With Eight Shows At The O2 London

Usher is set to make his return to The O2 in London for the first time in a decade, kicking off a run of eight sold-out performances at the arena beginning March 29 through April 11. The eight concerts are the first of 10 shows the R&B star has booked at the venue during the European leg of his ”Past Present Future” tour. He will remain on the road for almost six weeks, performing at venues in four countries on the continent before wrapping in May with his two final shows in London.
His last appearance at The O2 served as the finale of his “UR Experience” tour that played 48 cities in North America and Europe in 2014 and 2015. That performance on March 26, 2015 drew 15,477 fans and grossed over $1.37 million, the most at any one venue on the tour, based on boxoffice results reported to Pollstar.
Looking back further in the archives, he made his first headlining appearance at The O2 during his “OMG Tour” booked at arenas in Asia, Australia, Europe and North America from Nov. 2010 through the following June. On that tour, he appeared at the London arena on five nights in February 2011, selling a total of 69,761 tickets for a gross of $4.6 million, valued at about $6.5 million in 2025 dollars.
On the current tour, his European jaunt will also feature multiple performances in Paris, Amsterdam and Berlin following the eight shows at The O2. The Paris concerts will be on April 15-16 at Accor Arena, while Amsterdam’s Ziggo Dome has five shows scheduled from April 22 through 28. Then on May 1, 2 and 4, he will appear at Uber Arena in Berlin prior to the last two London shows on May 6 and 7.
Usher’s “Past Present Future” tour launched with a four-month run through North American cities last year in support of his ninth studio album Coming Home, released in February of 2024. With ticket sales reported from 54 concerts, the tour racked up a boxoffice haul of $120.8 million from 738,998 sold tickets.
It began with a two-show engagement Aug. 20-21 at Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C., attended by 28,007 fans over both nights with a gross totaling $4.36 million. Then, he completed the opening leg of the tour with a three-show stint at Kaseya Center in Miami, Dec. 16-19, a rescheduled engagement originally planned for mid-October but postponed due to a hurricane.
Throughout the U.S. and Canadian trek, Usher played at least two shows at each venue. State Farm Arena in Atlanta, however, hosted the tour for six shows, selling a total of 77,608 tickets at three concerts in October and three more in December. With sellouts at all six shows, he filled 34,504 seats, Oct. 17-20, and 43,104 from Dec. 9 through 12. The gross from all six performances reached $13.9 million.
Yet, that was the second highest gross at one venue during the tour’s opening leg. Barclays Center in Brooklyn had the top combined gross of $14.5 million, also from six concerts. The first four shows occurred Sep. 6 through 10, while the final two were on Dec. 5 and 6. The ticket count from all six New York performances was 84,696, the largest number of tickets sold at a single venue booked on the tour last year.
Other venues with more than two shows performed were Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California with 45,034 tickets sold for four shows, Sep. 21-25, and American Airlines Center in Dallas with attendance logged at 40,688 from three concerts Oct. 3-5. Then, Chicago’s United Center also hosted the “Past Present Future” tour for three nights, Oct. 28-31, moving a total of 44,217 tickets.
