New GM For Germany’s Deutsche Bank Park Operator SSF: Moritz Schneider

Moritz Schneider has taken on the role of general manager of Sportpark Stadion Frankfurt am Main Gesellschaft für Projektentwicklungen mbH (SSF), the municipal company that owns and operates the Deutsche Bank Park.
He’s taken on the role since April 1, succeeding Clarissa Böckl, who will be retiring shortly.
Schneider will also oversee the build of a new 15,000-capacity (for concerts) multi-purpose arena next to the 58,000-capacity Deutsche Bank Park stadium.
Schneider was born in Offenbach in 1983. He completed an international master’s degree in regional & urban planning in London and Paris, and has more than 15 years of professional experience in sports, live entertainment and international project management and development.
Most recently, he was senior venue & real estate developer at CTS Eventim, where he played a key role in the planning and construction of a new arena in Milan.
Prior to that, he worked for Stadion Frankfurt Management GmbH and its successor
Eintracht Frankfurt Stadion GmbH, among others. He also worked as a consultant for
Lagardère Sports & Entertainment (now Sportfive).
Some of the recent concert highlights at Deutsche Bank Park include two sold-out shows by Travis Scott, July 26-27, 2024, which moved 87,071 tickets at a $9,285,794 gross. That same month, German rock icon Peter Maffay sold 38,303 tickets for a $2,798,610 gross, July 18.
Schneider commented, “I would like to thank Mike Josef and the Supervisory Board of SSF for their trust and I am very much looking forward to this exciting task. Looking after SSF’s existing portfolio is a very attractive challenge for me. Driving forward the multifunctional arena urban development project fills me with pride and fits in perfectly with my many years of international professional experience in event, venue and planning management.”
He continues: “Deutsche Bank Park is one of the leading event venues in Europe, and it is a great task to manage and continuously improve it. And then finally realizing the multifunctional arena for Frankfurt is a unique and incredibly exciting challenge.”
Frankfurt am Main’s mayor Mike Josef added, “I would like to thank Mrs Böckl for her many years of reliable cooperation. Together with her team, she has laid important foundations for the further planning of the multifunctional arena. In Moritz Schneider, we have gained a proven expert with impressive experience and expertise in the field of urban planning and sports management.”
