Slayer To Headline Hersheypark Stadium

Slayer is setting out on a limited run of shows this summer, with the band adding a sole east coast headline date at Hersheypark Stadium in Hershey, Pennsylvania, on Sept. 20 with a lineup that includes Knocked Loose, Suicidal Tendencies, Power Trip, Cavalera and Exodus.

“Last year, Slayer played only two shows, and those shows affected me like playing The Big Four shows did,” Slayer’s Kerry King said in a statement. “When we played our first show last year in Chicago, I figured it was going to be great for the fans, maybe there would be some people who had never seen us play before, but the reaction was just completely overwhelming. The fans reacted to us like I’d expect them to react to the biggest band on the planet. It was amazing. So for the Hershey concert, we’ll play a Slayer show, we’ll have all of our big fire effects, and just burn everything like we used to.”

Slayer is booked by Pinnacle Entertainment, Inc.’s Scott Sokol in North America and K2 Agency worldwide. They’re managed by The Rick Sales Entertainment Group. Slayer will also perform in the United Kingdom and at Quebec Festival in Québec City and Louder Than Life in Louisville, Kentucky.

Among 358 headline reports submitted to Pollstar Boxoffice, Slayer has sold 1.7 million tickets grossing $89.5 million dating back to 1999.

Tickets for the newly announced date at Hersheypark Stadium go on sale April 11 at 10 a.m. ET, with presale beginning April 8 at 10 a.m. ET. Doors for the show open at 3 p.m. ET, with the show kicking off at 4 p.m. ET.

WWE’s Damian Priest will host the show.
