Vybz Kartel Announces One Night Only At Amerant Bank Arena

Iconic dancehall singer Vybz Kartel, who is performing a two-night stand at Barclays Center in Brooklyn beginning tonight, announced that he’ll be returning to Florida for the first time in over 20 years, performing at Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise next month.
The Jamaican artist known as the “Worl’ Boss” will take the Florida stage on May 17, and tickets for the one-night-only concert are now on sale via SeatGeek.com.
“Florida, you ready! You are my home away from home. I’m ready to deliver nothing but greatness,” Vybz Kartel said in a statement.
The show is produced by Matthew Mateo through Mateo Productions/5 Star Entertainment Group. Joe Nichols is also producing in association with Live Nation as well as Mona Scott-Young through Monami Productions.
“We’re excited to partner with Live Nation to welcome global dancehall icon, Vybz Kartel, back to the South Florida stage,” Scott-Young and Mateo said in a joint statement. “The Boss is back and better than ever!”
Vybz Kartel is an influential figure in the dancehall scene with his provocative lyrics and energetic performances. He has garnered nearly three million monthly listeners on Spotify with hits like “Fever,” “Summer Time” and “Clarks.” The release announcing the event said the show “promises to be a true celebration of Caribbean culture, featuring vibrant sounds, unforgettable energy and a lineup of special guests that will be announced closer to the date.”
