Oak View Group’s Chris Granger To Be Given Pro Sports Assembly Marshall Award

Granger

The Pro Sports Assembly will honor Oak View Group’s Chris Granger with the prestigious Marshall Award for Values in Sports on June 17, a recognition given to someone who exemplifies character, respect, authenticity, fairness, teamwork and safety.

Granger, who is president of OVG360, will receive the prestigious honor during The Assembly: Pro Sports Leadership Retreat and Workshop in Austin, Texas.

“It’s an honor to receive this recognition and I share it proudly with the many leaders in the OVG family who work with tireless intention in pursuit of diverse, inclusive, winning teams and who lift each other and the many communities in which we operate on a global basis,” said Granger.

Granger heads the full-service venue management and hospitality division for Oak View Group, the parent company of Pollstar, working with major arenas, convention centers, music festivals and stadiums across the globe in elevating the fan experience. He also helped develop OVG’s GOAL (Green Operations & Advanced Leadership) initiative that aims for sustainable practices in venues and works with Fenway Sports Group, the NBA’s Atlanta Hawks and State Farm Arena, and many other major venues.

The award Granger is receiving was inspired by Cynthia “Cynt” Marshall, co-founder of the Pro Sports Assembly and former CEO of the NBA’s Dallas Mavericks. She was the first Black female CEO in the NBA, and the medal is given to trailblazers in the sports business.

“Being celebrated by your peers validates your hard work, dedication, and skill, fostering a sense of belonging and motivation to excel further,” PRO Governing Board Chair Oracio Galindo of the Los Angeles Rams, said in a statement. “Leaders in society, especially in sports, have the power to shape narratives, influence policies, and champion inclusivity. We’re excited for this new class of honorees because they are embodying the positive path forward that can be shaped by sports.”
