Green Day, blink-182, Weezer, Jack White, The Sex Pistols & More Top Riot Fest 20th Anniversary Lineup

Riot Fest is celebrating its 20th anniversary, and this year’s lineup is stacked with talent including Green Day, blink-182, Weezer, Jack White, the Sex Pistols, weird Al Yankovic, Idles, Alkaline Trio, All Time Low and more. The festival returns to Chicago’s Douglass Park – its home since 2015 – from Sept. 19 to 21.

This year’s lineup will feature over 90 bands performing throughout its three days.

“I just wanted to put a show together with all of my favorite bands,” festival founder “Riot Mike” Petryshyn said when he began the festival in 2005.

Rilo Kiley, The Beach Boys, Jawbreaker, Dropkick Murphys, Bad Religion and more will also all appear throughout the weekend.

“We didn’t plan on making it for 20 years,” Petryshyn said in a statement. “We planned on making it through one weekend. But here we are – still loud, still weird, still building something bigger than we ever meant.”

When Riot Fest first began 20 years ago, the festival was spread throughout different venues across Chicago. Riot Fest continues to host shows in independent venues across the city, keeping the music alive throughout the year.
