Outkast, Cyndi Lauper, Soundgarden, The White Stripes & More Among Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame 2025 Inductees

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame announced its list of 2025 inductees, with Bad Company, Chubby Checker, Joe Cocker, Cyndi Lauper, Outkast, Soundgarden and The White Stripes to be inducted in the performer category on Nov. 8 at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. Salt-N-Pepa and Warren Zevon will receive the Musical Influence Award, Thom Bell, Nicky Hopkins and Carol Kaye will receive the Musical Excellence Award and Lenny Waronker will receive the Ahmet Ertegun Award.
“Each of these inductees created their own sound and attitude that had a profound impact on culture and helped to change the course of Rock & Roll forever,” John Sykes, Chairman of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, said in a statement. “Their music gave a voice to generations and influenced countless artists that followed in their footsteps.”
The ceremony will be available for live streaming on Disney+, with a special airing on ABC at a later date and available on Hulu the next day.
Chubby Checker, Joe Cocker, Bad Company and Outkast are all first-time nominees.
Cyndi Lauper wrapped her farewell tour last year, telling Pollstar, “Oh, yes. No more packing, unpacking, parking on the right, buses on the left, no more of that. No more getting up in the middle of the night going to the hotel desk, ‘Can you move that sofa and vacuum underneath it so I can put my suitcases and my trunks somewhere?’ It’s hard to take everything with you! I miss my dogs, but I’m not going to [bring them on tour] because they wouldn’t like it! [laughs].” Over the course of her career and 232 headline reports submitted to Pollstar’s Boxoffice, Lauper sold 615,358 tickets grossing $44.1 million.
