Truck Hits Whisky A Go Go; Boy Hits Car Show A No-Go

Rockers Boy Hits Car were set to take the stage at West Hollywood’s iconic Whisky a Go Go May 9. Then a truck hit the venue.
A five-vehicle accident resulted in a dump truck crashing into the rear of the famed Sunset Strip club at 1:40 p.m., knocking out power. No injuries were reported.
“Well… that was wild,” Boy Hits Car wrote on Instagram. “Yesterday, just hours before we were set to headline at the legendary Whisky A Go Go, a dump truck crashed into the venue. Our show was unfortunately canceled as a result, but the scene quickly turned surreal. ABC7 News and KCAL were there on the spot, and next thing you know, we’re doing interviews for TV instead of soundcheck.”
The Whisky was able to re-open for a scheduled May 10 show by 80s tribute act Fast Times.
Tickets for the Boy Hits Car show were refunded. The band plans to reschedule, according to a social media post.
