Insomniac Announces Plans To Bring EDC To Colombia

Insomniac is partnering with Colombia’s Páramo Presenta to launch Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) Colombia, the promoter announced. The festival will take over the Unidad Deportiva Atanasio Girardot in Medellín October 2026.

Páramo Presenta is part of OCESA, a longtime partner of Insomniac which co-promotes EDC Mexico taking place annually in February in Mexico City. The dates, lineup and ticketing information will be announced in the coming months.

It comes down to a few key factors. First, we look for a local partner who shares our values, understands the spirit of EDC, and has the vision and dedication to help bring it to life. Páramo Presenta is an incredible team that fits that perfectly. Medellín also offers a venue that can support the scale and creativity EDC is known for, along with the backing we need from the city and local community. Most importantly, EDC must have a purpose. It should bring something meaningful to the area and leave a positive impact. EDC is about more than music – it’s about connection, culture, and creating unforgettable experiences that bring people together.”

EDC’s landmark edition takes place in Las Vegas this weekend (May 16-18). The festival also takes place in Mexico, Brazil, the UK, China, India and South Korea.

“We are very proud to bring to Colombia such a major brand with so much history, and one that has been fundamental to the growth of electronic dance music worldwide, like EDC,” Páramo Presenta’s Santiago Vélez said in a statement. “Medellín will become the center of the electronic world in October 2026, and we hope to reveal more details soon about this festival that is returning to South America.”
