Jon Batiste Announces ‘The Big Money Tour: Jon Batiste Plays America’

Dates are here for “The Big Money Tour: Jon Batiste Plays America,” marking the second-ever headlining run for the multi-Grammy and Academy Award winner. The routing includes more than 30 venues including Red Rocks in Morrison, Colorado, and the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville.
The show are expected to be a “space for joy, openness and collective experience” – what Batiste describes as “creative church.”
The setlist for the tour will feature new material performed live for the first time and selections from Batiste’s acclaimed catalogue, which includes 2022’s We Are, which won the Grammy for Album of The Year and offers a mix of R&B, jazz, soul, pop, hip-hop, and his most recent release, 2024’s Beethoven Blues (Batiste Piano Series, Vol. 1), which features his take on the works of Ludwig van Beethoven alongside original compositions.
“We’re living in a complicated time, and music has this incredible ability to reframe what we’re feeling, to help us keep going,” Batiste said in a statement. “These shows are meant to be healing, liberating, and unforgettable.”
He added, “At the heart of what I’m about is representing the cultural music I come from and taking responsibility to push it forward,” Batiste says. “That’s jazz. That’s blues. That’s soul. That’s country and gospel music—forms born from people coming together, improvising in real time, and expressing something deeper. I can’t wait to channel that energy live every night—it’s where the music hits its truest form.”
“The Big Money Tour: Jon Batiste Plays America” – with a name representing a nod to his forthcoming project – starts Aug. 27 at The Midland in Kansas City, Missouri, followed by a special co-bill show on Aug. 28 with Diana Ross at The Muny in St. Louis, Missouri.
Artist presales begin Friday, May 16 10 a.m. local time, with local presales on Monday, May 19 10 a.m. The general public on-sale starts Tuesday, May 20 at 10 a.m. local time.
Batiste is represented by UTA. Reports submitted to Pollstar Boxoffice for Batiste include an April 17, 2025, show at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta that sold 4,454 tickets and grossed $250,818.
