Marathon Live Adds Jacksonville Venue To Portfolio

Marathon Live as acquired the Five music venue in Jacksonville, Florida. The 1,250-capacity theater opened on May 13 with BoyWithUke and a May 15 concert with Kameron Marlowe.

Additional shows confirmed for the venue include Lawrence, Young Rudy, Aly & AJ, Bowling For Soup and more.

The theater was first built in 1927, with renovations beginning last August. Marathon Live has preserved the building’s exterior, marquee, original glass, ornamental plasterwork and wood elements. New additions to the building include a VIP loft in the original projection booth, expanded balcony space, improved sightlines, new bars, enhanced restrooms and state-of-the-art lighting and sound systems.

“It has been an incredibly fun challenge to rework this amazing theater to host live performances again,” Josh Billue, Chief Development Officer at Marathon Live, said in a statement. “We are excited to be a part of the Five Points community and we can’t wait to welcome people back to a building Jacksonville has known for nearly 100 years.”
