Health Officials Warn Of Measles Exposure At Shakira MetLife Concert

Attendees at a recent Shakira concert at MetLife Stadium may have been exposed to measles, New Jersey’s health department announced May 20.
The department issued a warning that a non-New Jersey resident who was infectious with the disease attended the Shakira concert May 15 at the stadium in East Rutherford.
The person was at the stadium between 7:30 p.m. and 1 a.m. The release did not say where the person was seated and the department warns that anybody at the show, which sold out with 49,938 tickets according to Pollstar Boxoffice, could have been exposed.
The department warns symptoms could develop as late as June 6.
While cases of measles are on the rise nationally, New Jersey is not part of that outbreak with only three cases — all from the same household — reported in 2025.
