SZA is out on the road with Kendrick Lamar for the “Grand National Tour,” and fans at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles were in for a surprise as Lizzo stepped out on stage to join SZA for a performance of “Special.” SZA remixed the song on her album, SOS.

“Usually when I do very scary things, I have a tendency to bring my best friend with me,” SZA said on stage. “You may have seen her. SoFi counts as one of those scary things. So I brought my best friend for energy and positivity. Lizzo, can you come play with me!”

The pair launched into “Special” together, serenading one another as they sang.

The “Grand National Tour” launched on April 19 at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and made stops at stadiums in Houston, Atlanta, East Rutherford, New Jersey, Seattle and more. Lamar and SZA’s SoFi dates continue on May 23. From there, they’ll make appearances in San Francisco, Las Vegas, Chicago, Detroit and more before wrapping up at Washington, D.C.’s Northwest Stadium on June 18. Initial stops from the tour landed Lamar and SZA a top-five debut on APX on April 25 following the tour’s launch.

Lamar and SZA are both booked by Wasserman Music’s Brent Smith. SZA is managed by Top Dawg Entertainment’s Terrence “Punch” Henderson, while Lamar is managed by pgLang. Lizzo is booked by UTA’s Matthew Morgan and managed by Full Stop Management. She’s set to release her upcoming album, Love In Real Life, later this year and performed at The Wiltern in Los Angeles on March 12, Irving Plaza in New York on March 16 and First Avenue in Minneapolis on March 18.
