Gorillaz Revisit Albums With Four One-Off Performances

Gorillaz will take over Copper Box Arena in London from Aug. 29 to Sept. 3 to perform their albums in full. The shows take place during the closing week of House of C+Kong, with their albums Gorillaz, Demon Days and Plastic Beach returning for one night only, as well as a fourth mystery show.
The House of Kong exhibition runs from Aug. 8 to Sept. 3 at Copper Box. House of Kong ticket holders will have priority access to purchase tickets to the four Gorillaz shows.
Gorillaz are booked by CAA in North America and X-ray Touring in the UK. They’re managed by Eleven Mgmt. With 98 headline reports submitted to Pollstar’s Boxoffice dating back to 2002, Gorillaz have sold 817,063 tickets, grossing a total of $63.6 million.
The Aug. 29 date features Gorillaz performing their eponymous debut album. The subsequent tour supporting the album featured dates at Scala, London and La Cigale Paris, with the Aug. 29 date expected to recreate those early shows.
The Aug. 30 show plays their sophomore venture, Demon Days, in full. The album has only ever been performed in full with a limited five-show run at Manchester Opera House in November 2005 and five nights at the Apollo Theater in New York City’s Harlem neighborhood in April 2006.
Plastic Beach was performed live during two shows at London’s Roundhouse in March 2010, with the album not being played in full again until Gorillaz’s upcoming Sept. 2 show.
The House of Kong exhibit ends on Sept. 3 with a mystery show from Gorillaz, with promises of special guests.
