BSE Global Announces New Festival, Planet Brooklyn

BSE Global, the parent company of Barclays Center, the Brooklyn Nets and New York Liberty, announced the inaugural two-day music festival, Planet Brooklyn, which will land in the borough this summer. The festival aims to highlight artists representing the cultural and creative diversity within Brooklyn. Free and ticketed performances will take place across Barclays Center, Brooklyn Paramount and Bam on Aug. 23 and 24.
“Brooklyn is a unique microcosm of the world – both a physical place and a state of mind – where global cultures meet, inspire and expand each other,” DeJuan Wilson, Chief Products and Experiences Officer at BSE Global, said in a statement. “Planet Brooklyn was created to spotlight artists, creators and innovators from around the globe who represent the borough’s rich diversity, while connecting people through the creative energy of Brooklyn.”
A free two-day block party will also take place in the streets near the three participating venues, fit with hundreds of local food vendors and merchants reflecting the diversity of Brooklyn. The block party will also feature multiple stages wehre attendees can enjoy free performances.
BKMag is the supporting media partner of Planet Brooklyn, and the festival’s lineup will be announced in June.
