Levitation returns to Austin, Texas, in September with a loaded lineup across four days. Mastodon, TV On The Radio and Pavement will headline shows at the festival’s new home, the Palmer Events Center, and Boy Harsher, Sudan Archives, Pup & Jeff Rosenstock and The Dandy Warhols top the bill for the night shows in Downtown Austin.

The 18th edition of the beloved indie festival takes place Sept.25-28. There will be more than two dozen acts performing on two stages across three days at the heart of Levitation 2025, which is the Palmer Events Center, including Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Acid Bath, The Brian Jonestown Massacre, Built to Spill, The Sword, Blonde Redhead, The Black Angels and Blood Incantation.

Levitation’s nighttime programming begins as early as Wednesday, Sept. 24, with a special kick-off event featuring Beach Fossils, Mdou Moctar and more. Other artists performing the following four days include Martin Rev, Neal Francis, Drugdealer, Jamila Woods, Skinshape, Starjunk 95 and Dr. Gabba. More artists will be announced at a later date. For full programming, see below.

Palmer Events Center, located on the shores of Town Lake, is a 75,000-square-foot venue that provides 360-degree lighting and visuals, providing an air-conditioned indoor experience for fans enjoying artists on the main stage. There will also be an outdoor stage surrounded by ample green space. The new location also allows festival organizers to deliver more installations, food trucks and much more.

After enjoying Palmer Events Center shows, fans can then explore Austin’s Red River and downtown venues for the night shows at venues like Stubb’s, Mohawk, Elysium, Kingdom, 29th St Ballroom, 13th Floor and more.

“We’ve been searching for the right location to bring a multi-stage experience back to Levitation for years, and we found it right downtown,” Rob Fitzpatrick, Levitation co-founder and festival director, said in a statement. “The venue offers a huge upgrade in production overall with endless possibilities for the visual experience, and great amenities – air conditioning, nice bathrooms, ample parking, a giant shaded outdoor courtyard, along with the production infrastructure needed for a world-class show. All of that in a beautiful park in the heart of the city. And the proximity to downtown means we’re still able to host shows in our Red River venues; these clubs are the heart and soul of our music scene in Austin, and it wouldn’t be Levitation without them.”

Resound Presents founder Graham Williams adds, “Levitation 2025 brings back a larger multi-stage festival in the spirit of when it was held at the ranch – and just steps from where Fun Fun Fun Fest called home – but this time we’re doing it at a venue that has everything we need – and with a roof over our head. We couldn’t be more excited about the new venue and the future of Levitation in this new space.”
