Jelly Roll Wants To Be First Act At New Nashville Stadium

Nashville native and “life-long Titans fan” Jelly Roll wants to be the first musician to play the city’s new Nissan Stadium when it opens in 2027.
Appearing at the Music City Rodeo at Bridgestone Arena May 30, the “Son of a Sinner” singer told the crowd he wouldn’t be performing in his hometown for awhile.
“I shouldn’t say this, I’m gonna get in trouble. But I gotta say it out loud. This will be my last Nashville show until 2027, y’all. Hear me out, though. This is why, because I need y’all’s help,” he said from the stage, according to footage shared on social media. “I want to be the first act to play Nissan Stadium, when it opens in the spring of 2027.”
The Titans will move from their current home — also Nissan Stadium, which opened in 1999 — ahead of the 2027 season to the new building, a domed, 60,000-seater slated to cost more than $2 billion.
“In 2027, Nissan Stadium, please let the local boy live a dream and open up the new stadium, let me be the first to play it, baby! Let the local boy do it, baby! I’ve got a f—ing life-long Titans fan. Let me play Nissan Stadium, y’all!” he said. “Sorry, that’s crazy, but I gotta speak it into existence. I believe in Nashville. If all of y’all brought a friend, we could do it. If you brought a friend, we could do it!”
Jelly is getting a taste of stadiums this summer as he tours with Post Malone on the “Big Ass Stadium Tour.”
Jelly Roll is repped by CAA’s Hunter Williams and managed by John Meneilly at Left|Right.
