Rock For People Czechia Celebrates 30th Anniversary With Record Audience

The 30th edition of Czechia’s Rock For People Festival kicks off Wednesday, June 11. Headlined by Linkin Park, Guns N’ Roses, Sex Pistols feat. Frank Carter, Slipknot, and Avenged Sevenfold, the sold-out festival will welcome 50,000 visitors at Park 360 in Hradec Králové.

From June 11-15, more than 1,000 artists are going to perform across 10 stages. The lineup also includes Biffy Clyro, Jerry Cantrell, Fontaines D.C., Sigrid, IDLES, English Teacher, Kneecap, Wunderhorse and more.

Local artists are represented by the iconic Marie Rottrová along with Ewa Farna, David Koller in a special set with Prague Philharmonia, Vladimir 518 together with 7krát3, Vypsaná fiXa, and others.

Rock for People founder Michal Thomes commented, “Our budget for band fees nearly doubled this year, but our bet on world-famous music legends has paid off. There has been overwhelming demand from fans, and the festival is now sold out, that was my dream. I feel incredibly grateful but also responsible towards our fans. I believe this year’s edition will be exceptional in all aspects, and together we will step into another decade of Rock for People.”

Thomes’ team increased the capacity of the venue, to maintain the comfort visitors have come to expect from the event. Due to a long-term lease on Park 360, the team is are able to work on improvements year-round.

For the first time this year, visitors will be able to shop for fresh groceries or toiletries directly on site – at a store provided by Tesco, one of the festival’s partners.

Rock for People has long pioneered a sustainable approach to event organization, and the 30th anniversary edition is no exception. 17 types of waste are recycled on site; f&b is almost exclusively served in returnable serveware; zero-emission transportation is in place; and the plant-based food offer has yet again been expanded.

Festivalgoers can visit “a unique sustainable zone” on site, called KB Future Fest, which will show what a festival taking trends in ecology and technology on board could look like in the future. It’s an initiative created in collaboration with the festival’s second partner Komerční banka, and its main sponsor Mastercard.

The are few tickets remaining for the Sunday, when Guns N’ Roses will lead a lineup of 20 bands performing on this extra day, added to celebrate the festival’s anniversary.

Rock for People is organized by Ameba Production, an agency that also holds dozens of concerts year-round aside from the festival. In July 2024, Park 360 in Hradec Králové also hosted two big concerts of world superstar Ed Sheeran for nearly 100,000 ecstatic fans.

This year, the venue is set to welcome Bryan Adams on Aug. 1, 2025. Ameba Production also runs the popular baby-punk festival Kefír and co-organizes the Prague Music Week conference and showcase.
