FESTIVALS, STADIUMS & MORE: CAA repped all three Coachella headliners, while Beyoncé, Gaga continue global dominance.

As co-heads of global touring at CAA alongside UK-based Emma Banks, Darryl Eaton and Rick Roskin have long driven the stalwart agency’s efforts in music.
Eaton represents talents including Red Hot Chili Peppers, Kelly Clarkson, blink-182, RBD, Glass Animals, Arcade Fire, A$AP Rocky and more. Roskin’s clients include Eric Clapton, Santana, Iron Maiden, Cheap Trick, Kesha, Counting Crows, Kelly Clarkson, Tom Morello, Slipknot, OneRepublic, Rob Zombie, The Black Crowes, Kelsea Ballerini, The Black Keys, Alice Cooper, and Fiona Apple, among others.
Roskin graduated from Tulane University with a B.A. in Political Science, and was hired in the CAA mailroom in 1988. He worked his way up, becoming an agent in 1991 and helping to co-found Warped Tour.
Eaton started out on the recording side of music, getting his foot in the door of the industry as an intern at Columbia/Def Jam.
As a whole, CAA music has had a big year, a common occurrence for the powerhouse agency known for its stability and clout.
In addition to artists like Lady Gaga and Beyoncé taking the world by storm with “Mayhem Ball” and the “Cowboy Carter Tour,” respectively, the agency stepped up in the wake of the devastating Los Angeles wildfires back in January.
Roskin and Eaton, along with the rest of the CAA team, joined the effort to help put together FireAid, two simultaneous concerts taking place at Intuit Dome and the Kia Forum in Inglewood, which raised an estimated $100 million.
“We’re really proud of all the efforts made through our CAA Foundation in launching the SoCal Fire Fund to help people impacted by the wildfires in LA,” Roskin says.
“The fund has already provided much-needed support and resources to so many in need. The wildfires were also a tragic setback to countless families in the music community. The FireAid benefit concert showed the power of our industry with artists and execs teaming up to raise millions for relief. It’s been amazing to see what we can do when we all rally together.”
The agency has also made a big splash at the year’s major music festivals, with Lady Gaga, Green Day and Post Malone headlining Coachella. Their artists are also making big moves at other fests including Doja Cat headlining Outside Lands and Rüfüs Du Sol and Sabrina Carpenter playing Lollapalooza.
“We’re heading into the back half of the year with a lot of momentum,” Eaton says. “CAA booked all three headliners at Coachella – an agency first; all three headliners at Rolling Loud, Shaky Knees and When We Were Young festivals; as well as the majority of headliners at Lollapalooza. Post Malone and Jelly Roll’s tour is a standout moment – watching two powerhouse performers connect with audiences night after night is something special.”
“Looking ahead, we’re excited about The Weeknd’s upcoming stadium tour around the world – it’s shaping up to be one of the biggest, most ambitious and visually stunning tours of the year,” Eaton says.

The final leg of The Weeknd’s long-running “After Hours til Dawn Stadium Tour” began at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, with more than 40 dates booked throughout the summer.
Eaton also shouted out clients who have recently moved into bigger rooms, saying, “We’re also looking forward to artists like Gracie Abrams, Tate McRae, Kelsea Ballerini and so many others who are leveling up and stepping into arenas on their tours. Seeing our clients push creative boundaries while reaching new heights is exactly why we do what we do.”
Roskin and Eaton emphasize CAA works as a team and the company prides itself on its collaborative environment.
“Balance isn’t about having it all figured out – I think it’s about being intentional with your time and being present in the moment,” Roskin says. “Our team is at our best when we’re connected and sharing information and feeding off of each other’s energy and ideas – it’s incredibly motivating to work with so many talented people who run as fast as you do. A key to maintaining that energy is finding reasons for us all to connect. That connection is key to keeping morale high – feeling connected and knowing you’re part of something, feeling heard and feeling valued.”
