A MINDFUL HUSTLE: “I start each day at 4:45 a.m. with meditation, prayer, and a workout – it sets my mindset and energy.”

Just as likely to be seen courtside at a Lakers game hanging out with celebrities as hashing out deals on the phone, Mike G exudes showbiz hustle. Getting his start in radio and then as an artist manager, he’s thrived since settling into the role of a full-time agent and being named partner in 2022 at UTA, where he represents a roster of top talent including Lil Wayne, The Kid Laroi, Young Thug, Cardi B, Rauw Alejandro, Busta Rhymes and many others.
“Two highlights stand out for me this year. First, being part of the Carter VI rollout and seeing Lil Wayne headline Madison Square Garden – a goal we had set two years ago – was incredibly rewarding,” he says, although he opted to stay home that night to spend time with his newborn daughter.
“The show sold out instantly and marked a major cultural moment. Second, supporting Young Thug’s return to the live stage – headlining major festivals and launching his first-ever arena tour – was a huge win.”
Agents are always looking for creative opportunities for their clients, and Mike G continues to think big.
“I’m inspired by how more artists are getting involved in private equity, venture capital, and sports ownership – moving beyond traditional brand deals and into long-term wealth creation,” he says. “It’s pushing me to think bigger, more holistically, and to play the long game for my clients. When artists drive culture, they should have real equity in it.”
Rather than worry about things you can’t control, Mike G says it’s important to focus on what you can, like ticket prices. “We keep our heads down, stay positive, and block out the noise,” he says. “The best agents make their teammates better. It’s about empowerment and uplifting each other.” It’s safe to expect more big moves from someone who gets up at 4:45 a.m. to start the daily hustle.
“We’ve got major arena tours lined up from A-list clients, exciting documentaries in the works, and several big moves in the brand and equity space that I’m thrilled about,” he says. “A lot of momentum is building – and it’s only the beginning.”
